Our client is a leading residential developer with an established presence in Ireland for nearly 40 years. They are self-funded and currently carry significant land assets.
They have been responsible for a number of iconic residential development. They also have a track record in the development of high quality starter homes.
The vast majority of the key management have been with the company for in excess of 15 years and this is testimony to the loyalty of the company to their staff and also reflects how the company develops and promotes from within.
Having met with and discussed the requirement in some depth with one of the company shareholders I am confident of the company’s commitment to the development of their staff and their understanding of the need for a sustainable work life balance.
The Directors operate an open door policy and are there to guide and mentor staff as well as lead them.
As they are currently in the process of rolling out the development of a number of new development sites they now wish to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work alongside one of their Senior Surveyors.
The role is Dublin based and will have a 50/50 mix of site and head office based work. The current sites due for development range from an 18 unit high end development to developments consisting of over 100 units of starter homes.
Our client are committed to supporting their staff in any further education or professional qualifications they may wish to pursue that are relevant to their work.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will undertake the following duties:
Preparation of subcontractor packages.
Analysis of same and procurement of the most advantages packages.
Attending site meeting and agreeing interim and final accounts.
Onsite remeasurement of certain packages such as ground works and blockwork.
Agreeing variations in conjunction with the site management team.
Contract administration of all subcontractor packages.
Preparation of cash flow forecasts and managing project performance against agreed budgets.
Management of subcontractor and associated documentation for compliance with current BCAR regulations.
Other ad-hoc duties in line with those of a quantity surveyor.
Ideally at least one years quantity surveying experience.
A good communicator, verbal and written.
An aptitude for construction.
Have at least 6 months site experience in any capacity.
