Contracts Administrator – Public Works Contracts

We are recruiting a Contracts Administrator (Senior) looking to make an impact on major public works projects. Our client is a leading project management consultancy, overseeing multiple public works contracts.

This is a newly created, critical role, providing contract administration oversight and advice in relation to multiple public works contracts. You’ll play a key role in enhancing quality, value, and efficiency on these projects.

Key Responsibilities:

This is predominantly an oversight role; the successful candidate will ensure that the following are being adhered to across a range of contracts.

  • Compliance with the provisions of the Capital Works Management Framework, and other Employer specific guidance documents.
  • Appropriate preparation of tender and contract documentation.
  • Appropriate standards of Contract Administration, including but not limited to timely and appropriate application of the provisions of the PWC Contracts, maintenance of correspondence & notification trackers and ensuring that all Parties and project team participants comply with contract requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Comprehensive, accurate and timely reporting to the Employer.
  • The application of appropriate document control and management processes and systems.
  • Risk identification, assessment, reporting and mitigation
  • Where necessary, advising on the application of the dispute avoidance and resolution provisions of the Contracts

 

What We’re Looking For:

🔹 Experience in contracts administration within public works, construction, or infrastructure projects.
🔹 Strong knowledge of the Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF), public procurement, PWC Contracts, and contract law.
🔹 Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
🔹 Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and financial commitments.

🔹The successful candidate will have a construction related degree and ideally have achieved Chartered status. (Architecture / Engineering / Surveying / Construction Management)
